Real-Time Media Systems and Systems Design Services The founders of LMA first supported the development of Broadcast 2000 and later Cinelerra in 1999 by contributing design requirements, computers systems, financial support, and marketing outreach. Since then, we have developed and designed software, systems, and devices which have been used in custom configurations at many studios including Sony Studios, Dreamworks, Canal+, RTL, CBC, BOSE, WGBH, ARTE, Warner Brothers, BBC, NHK, ESPN, and many more. We continue to take this knowledge to build a new suite of software technologies. Sign up on our new web site for important announcements, download links, user forums, chat windows, and even a new SVN site for developers. We specialize in design and installing movie and television studios from the ground floor up using Free and Open Source software and systems. Linux Media Arts has been working since 1999 to develop and maintain a very high level of technological excellence with a focus on building highly capable media production systems and networks. Our senior team of engineers have been successful at the highest levels of the media production systems and services industry including the design, development, and sales of media production services and systems coming from companies including Sony Integration, Avid, Pioneer Research, IVC, Warner Brothers, Discreet, Kodak, Autodesk, and ILM. We would like to build a fully networked and professional system Our collective efforts have resulted in systems and services and technologies being implemented at NBC, ESPN, Warner Brothers, BBC, Google, ILM, CNN, and Fox. Our team members have built networked system where media is created on a computer, captured on any camera, and then archived, broadcast, compressed, distributed, edited, enhanced, formatted, and rendered, in any format in any network media architecture, including film, Internet, and television. Our senior team of engineers and management includes an Academy Award winning engineer, an Emmy Award Winning Director, a former Chief Engineer from ILM, an Emmy Award Winning Engineer from Sony, Emmy Nominated Special Effects artist Michael Collins, Vassili Leonov of Linux Media Labs, several PhD's in media Engineering, retired Naval officers, and the founder of Cinelerra -- Heroine Warrior. Our team, working together for over 10 years will provide your organization a state-of-the-art television, film, special FX and training studio with production, distribution, and transmission capabilities, that will be second to none. Our goal is to assist you in building a media production and training capability that provides media tools for your production staff which enables them to operate at the highest levels of the industry. The production and training facility can be accessed in studio, between floors, buildings, studios and even via the Internet for remote users. Thus, your ability for people in the field to transmit directly to a networked computer, which can then be utilized anywhere on the network is now available for implementation. We will provide a system that will enable your organization to communicate in any media format, from feature film quality to HDTV broadcast television to high resolution Internet formats. Our systems communicate in real-time with AVID, Sony, and Apple products. LMA editing and storage systems are archival ready, meaning that any media frame or file will be instantly archived for instant retrieval anywhere on your network. In fact, we will also build a capability which will enable your organization to go back to stored video and film, and then re-codify individual media frames for instant network recall. Our list of client consulting projects is very impressive and please contact us directly for references. Thank you. |
